Technology due diligence for a private equity acquisition in payments
Dunedin, a UK private equity fund, was evaluating a minority investment in a global payment processor whose proprietary card platform is certified by Visa and Mastercard. The investment thesis rested on the strength of that technology, and the deal team needed independent validation before entering exclusivity.
Challenge:
