Project Overview

Our client, a global consulting firm, is working with one of the largest banks in India. They are looking for a Tech PMO to join their team and project manage various aspects of the ongoing engagement. They are looking for someone with extensive experience in Banking technology and project management skill set.


Key responsibilities:


Project Governance:

- Establish and maintain project governance standards and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

- Facilitate project initiation, planning, and execution phases.

Project Planning and Coordination:

- Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.

- Coordinate communication among project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.

Risk Management:

- Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

- Monitor and report on project risk throughout the project lifecycle.

Resource Management:

- Assist in resource allocation and capacity planning.

- Track resource utilization and optimize resource allocation for projects.

Performance Monitoring:

- Establish and maintain project performance metrics.

- Monitor key performance indicators and report on project status.

Financial Management:

- Assist in budget creation and tracking for technology projects.

- Ensure financial transparency and adherence to budgetary constraints.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain project documentation and records.

- Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.

Process Improvement:

- Continuously assess and improve project management processes.

- Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.

Stakeholder Communication:

- Foster effective communication between project teams, business stakeholders, and IT leadership.

- Manage expectations and provide timely updates on project progress.


Experience required:


• Past technical or engineering experience in the banking industry

• Should possess strong knowledge of enterprise-grade software solutions and digital businesses

• Should be well-versed with digital technologies, agile product delivery, software development, data engineering, analysis and visualization

• At least 5 to 12 years of relevant experience

• Prior experience in software development is mandatory

• Prior experience in the banking industry is mandatory

• Able to lead large complex teams and senior stakeholder management


This is a 6-month contractual opportunity with a high possibility of extension. The selected consultant would be required to be based out of Mumbai for the entire duration of this contract.
